COVID - 19 PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES:

DJ Transit, Inc. has an active Pandemic Response Plan to aid in the prevention of the COVID-19 illness.  Only Essential trips are being scheduled at this time.  Precautionary measures to help protect our clients and staff from spread of the virus are in place. Drivers are equipped with gloves, sanitizer, wipes and disinfectant spray; they actively clean vehicles routinely throughout the day.   Clients are interviewed during trip scheduling asking if they have fever or upper respiratory problems, and even with a minor complaint, there are additional extensive precautionary measures taken.

DJ Transit, Inc. will closely monitor the developments of COVID-19 in our service areas and in our state. In the meantime, our hours of operation remain unaffected.  While DJ Transit, Inc. is committed to maintaining safe and healthy travel for clients, we must emphasize the most effective way to prevent the spread of disease are people practicing self-care.   We strongly encourage the Center for Disease Control recommendations below:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.  If soap and water are not available, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

  • If you are experiencing symptoms and/or have traveled to areas of concern (or contact with someone who has), call ahead to your health-care provider before you go in person. Added to this, if you have any symptoms, always inform transportation services before your trip.

The mission of DJ Transit, Inc Community Transportation provider is to provide efficient, safe, reliable and affordable transportation to help improve the quality of life for residents of South Mississippi.
